The Bottminger Christmas market is one of the top events in the Basel region. The twinkling lights of the castle create a warm, Christmassy atmosphere. The stalls sell their handmade products, which are made with a lot of heart. Just like the beers from Fermento, the Swiss beer with an Italian heart. The Fermento Christmas beer Ventuno will be the main attraction at this event.

Ventuno is a honey beer, with a wonderful golden amber colour and an extra shot of alcohol, which gives it a special warmth, just as the tradition of Christmas beer dictates. With a hint of sweetness, Ventuno has a pleasantly floral flavour that you will simply love.

The Bottminger Christmas Market is a great opportunity to meet our neighbours. It will be a great opportunity to sample our five beers, including our wheat beer Mistral, Fermento Amber Ale, Pilsner Golden Breeze and our dark beer Liberica. Our Amber Ale and Pilsner will also be on tap so you can enjoy them fresh.

You are also welcome to come and choose your Christmas presents. Fermento will offer a selection of special gifts: our craft beer six-packs and a special set with the dark beer Liberica and the Thorin Tungthøl beer sauce, which we have brewed limited for the Christmas holidays.

The beer sauce is unique and very different from any other beer sauce on the market. It is perfectly balanced in umami, spice, sweetness and a hint of heat. Use it to flavour grilled meat, with raclette or with cold cuts such as mortadella or cooked ham.
